Easter Weekend in Branson
2001
Easter Weekend of 2001 found the whole family gathered at the cabin
in Branson. Alan and Jolene Bolger joined us for part of the weekend,
on their way back north from a visit with the Bob Bolger family in
Baton Rouge, LA. Alan and Bob are Nancy's brother's, of
course.
Part of the weekend was devoted to
preparations for Ben
and Arrion's wedding (use
Back Button to return here) on July 14 in Springfield, IL. (See our

While at Silver Dollar City, the girls
did some wedding shoping:

One evening was spent "decorating" the
bells and bubble bottles for the wedding.
But first, we had the traditional
"coloring of the Easter Eggs" - girls only, of course:
Jolene, upper left, was privileged to
assit this year. Arrion, top center,
Annette of the right, Allison in front, on the right, and Nancy on
the left.

These four pictures actually came from Jolene,
so Al must have been in the loft taking this picture.
When I say "coloring easter egg
tradition" I mean it - from April 1969:

The little house in West Branch, Iowa
Arrion wouldn't arrive for about five months
yet!
We went out front (all grown up!) with
the Howdy Bear (and the new addition, the little bear, from and held
by Nancy), to take a casual family portrait:

We were working on a couple of other
"celebrations" - Allison's divorce was becoming final, and, Larry was
finishing his Ph.D. at Indiana University. Both significant events
personally and for the family!

with his sister, Nancy, and the Howdy Bear:
