Welcome to Dark Magick Challenges!

You might want to keep this page open for navigation purposes. This is a challenge awards site for writers of romance/love story fiction of the Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer fandoms. It is NOT competetive in the sense that fics and writers are competing against each other for a single award. Rather, this is my personal quest to archive and reward as many GOOD writers as there are out there who want to fulfill one of my challenges. Please go ahead and browse. Take a gander at my challenges and sample awards and see if anything inspires you. If you want to participate, you MUST read and agree to Dark Magick's Rules. NOTE: I MUST advise you that completing a challenge fic DOES NOT guarantee you an award! I have a specific grading criteria that I use on each fic and your fic must meet a certain score on that criteria to qualify for an award. Furthermore, the Dark Magick Rose is a special award offered to superior and exceptional submissions. Thank you for coming by! Hope to hear from you soon... UPDATES: 1 January 2004 Happy New Year to everyone. I'm praying fervently that this year is a better year than last year because it's definitely been ROUGH! I'm sorry to say my updates are WAY behind. Although the writers received their awards much earlier, these fics have been on file with me for a while. I awarded the Dark Magick Rose award to Aileen E. for her Spike/Willow fic, "Fleurs de Mal." This is a truly creative example of romance writing that includes a wonderfully researched background. If you love Spike/Willow, classical poetry, and a story with your smut, it would be a terrible mistake to pass this story up. Hello folks, it's been quite a while! Sorry so long between updates, have had a lot of personal issues and am heavily involved in a personal writing project BUT I am STILL here, and have several new fics to archive within the next few days!
