Steve and I met one day while playing Yahoo Euchre. At the time, we were both going through some rough times in our offline lives. We became friends and started playing Euchre together regularly. I can still remember how happy it made me feel when his name came up as being online. I didn't know why then, but I do now. We talked to each other about what was going on in our home lives and gave each other advice. No matter how bad things got offline, Steve always had me smiling and laughing within the first few minutes of talking to him. There came a day when we both realized that this had become much more than the friendship it had started out as.
After we got our offline lives straightened out, we decided it was time to meet.I flew from Kentucky to New York to meet Steve for the first time in person. I will always remember the way he looked standing there waiting for me as I got off of the plane. I knew I Loved him from our online chats and our phone conversations, seeing him just reaffirmed the Love I had for him. There were more trips back and forth. Each time we had to part, I felt like my heart was breaking. We finally decided that we couldn't go on anymore just seeing each other whenever we could. In June of last year, (1999) I moved to New York. We rented a house together and are now in the process of buying one. We are planning on getting married in a couple of months.
It's amazing how a simple typed hello on here can turn into something so wonderful.
