FAQ > I want to be an AHA Rep for my area
There are AHA Reps in the areas of:

- Peterborough, Ontario, Canada

If you would like to be an AHA Contact for your area, please read the info below and send the form, or, call Cheryl @ the toll-free # you were given when you joined AHA. If you are outside of North America, call 705-742-5143. Sorry, collect calls cannot be accepted. The process can take up to 1 - 2 months, depending on when you sign up and where you live.

Are you an active AHA Core or Connate member or otherwise known to AHA/its Coordinator? Meet families and make connections ... volunteer as an AHA Representative for your area!


Level 1 - AHA Aide
- Phone # and email address are available publicly
- Answers queries made by potential members and members.
- When permitted, puts up flyers in local centres and other such buildings.
- Keeps contact list of the community organization and program heads in her/his area, and makes them available to Coordinator upon request.
- Issues brochures/flyers to community org/program heads upon request.
- Initial print communications will be done by the Coordinator. The Rep's contact info will be included.
- Upon request, issues membership forms to potential members. That applicant will then mail the form to the Coordinator for processing.
- Accepts donations if there are AHA members in her/his local area, and distributes donations according to distribution policies
- Provides local upcoming event info to Coordinator
- Facilitates
outreach at events:
- Greets event attendees at AHA's table/booth
- Sets up AHA table or booth
- Tables/booths and travelling costs will be paid for by Coordinator on behalf of AHA if agreed upon prior to event registration. Sometimes childcare and food costs may be covered as well (any expense coverage should be agreed upon prior to participating in an event or registering for it)
I would like to become an AHA Aide (note: this process can take up to 2 months; your info as an Aide will be listed on AHA's homepage)

If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to voice them. There is always room for improvement and undoubtedly there are issues that may have been forgotten or not thought of. In addition to the above, a Rep is required to follow the Guide corresponding to her/his/their level of representation.
