The average wireless network has a Phone line, Wireless Router, DSL/Cable Modem and some connecting computers. A Wireless router simply decides which data goes where in a network and sends it there. A DSL or Cable modem is used to retrieve data from the internet via your ISP (internet service provider) and is connected to your phone line. When all of these parts are connected you have an effective wireless network. The general setup of a wireless network includes a DSL/Cable modem, Phone Line, Wireless Router and the connecting PC’s. This may also include a wired network PC.
