Garbage to do theme tune?

We were recently advised by an Eon contact that Garbage, the successful alternative pop band, are just days away from signing a deal with Eon to perform the title song for The World Is Not Enough.
Garbage, who's self-titled debut album was released in 1995, had a string of singles which topped the British charts, including "Stupid Girl" which reached the top 5. Garbage went on to win MTV's "Best Breakthrough Band" award in 1996. They recorded a remixed version of "#1 Crush" for Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet, and recently have stated that they want to get involved in soundtracks, with the possibility that their third album may be a movie score.

Interview with Simon Crane

Simon Crane, stunt co-ordinator, has planned some of the most exciting and daring stunts in motion picture history. His challenging career has brought him into contact with the likes of James Cameron and Steven Spielberg, and he has been responsible for many remarkable pieces of stuntwork in films such as Titanic, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Braveheart, Total Recall and Batman. Crane was the aerial stunt coordinator for Cliffhanger, in which he set a record for the first jet-to-jet mid-air transfer.

Crane has had a successful and distinguished association with the Bond films since his involvement in The Living Daylights, in which he doubled for Timothy Dalton. More recently, he performed coordinating duties for GoldenEye, and is currently completing production on The World Is Not Enough, as stunt co-ordinator.

I also spoke to Eon Press liaison Patricia O'Reilly and asked her several questions about the production, which you can read here.

Teaser Trailer is out

In a virtually unprecedented move, the flashy new Teaser Trailer was released this evening at the Official TWINE Site. This is the first time ever the trailer has been made available.

The feature is presented in four formats to suit every user, including a high-res 24 fps version.

The teaser is just over a minute long, and includes a clever sweeping pan of the 007 logo, as well as an inspired CGI glimpse of the Gunbarrel. Other scenes that impress are the barrel rolling "Q" Boat, Bond's escape from a huge fireball in a tunnel, and a spectacular explosion on the snowy Caucasus Mountains.

Will this man be in TWINE? We think so.
