Forks of Gunpowder (Place)

This refers to a place where Gunpowder Creek "forks". In the old days there was said to be an island at the place. It has become best known for the Forks of Gunpowder Baptist Church, founded early, but which became Predestinarian about 1840 under the leadership of its pastor Lewis Conner.
