urfcasting, -after 35 years by the river banks now- is bringing to me more than a new source of pleasure; it's an opening on the sea horizon. I'd gotten used to the fresh water perfumes that all the fishermen detect when getting close to a small river or a foggy dawn lake. Now I've dipped my boots in the salted water of Brittany sands or in the shingle of the Normandy beaches..

The overcrowded weekends on these beaches led me to practice night fishing in quieter and more fruitful waters than you find on sunny Sundays.

This site is an invitation to the "young fishermen" (in term of fishing experience) to wet their traces often and often in briny waters of estuaries or salted sea of the beaches...

A 2 section rod with a multiplier can be considered as a good start for a new passion. However, please note that you'll have to train casting during the day because it's safer than in the pale light of your head lamp.

If fishing at night, first of all, Be Safe : take a good friend with you. Putting aside the baits and the usual pieces of equipment, foresee a stable light to set on the sand or in shingles as a general source, and one head lamp per fisherman.
