Marcellin DeCuir 1770s-1820s

Marcellin DeCuir was born in Pointe Coupee in the late 1700s and moved to Avoyelles in the early 1800s. He was a school board member and owned three plantations in Avoyelles. His plantation home stood in Longbridge and was occupied by his daughter's descendants, the Rabalais family, until the 1940s. He also owned what is today the north half of Moreauville, LA.
