A lenda do Arcebispo
Dulce sings two songs with Kepa Junkera, an accordeonist from Bilbao in the Basque Country. She sings two songs, 'Maitia nun zira?' (Where are you, my love?) and 'Sodade'.
F-MHop, in "La Factoria del Ritmo", makes this comment:
"La calidad de todos los temas es excepcional salvo en "Sodade", que es incluso superior, y donde Dulce Pontes logra ponernos la carne de gallina." "The quality of all the songs is exceptional except in "Sodade", where it is superior, and where Dulce Pontes manages to put us with a 'chicken skin'. "
In the "FolkWorld CD Reviews" we can read:
This, his ninth, album is in several ways special and full of superlatives. The first obvious extravanganca is the booklet and packaging - actually you cannot really call it a booklet, it is actually a book in CD format of 140 pages, with the two CDs in the binding of the book. The 'book' is full of information and pictures of Kepa, the tunes and the guests. 113 pages are in Basque and Spanish language, the rest are translations in English and French. The guests on this CD are the second superlative: There 52 guest musicians, all being leading roots musicians from around the world. Indeed the right kind of project to open the eyes all over the world for this Basque city, to reflect its possible connections into the world. Now let's come to the music itself. We find on the two CDs all in all 23 numbers; most of the music is written by Kepa, and Kepa's accordeon is in the centre of most of the tunes. He has a very distinctive style, both in writing music as in playing. (...) Or the traditional 'Maitia nun zira?', a love song sung by the Portuguese singer Dulce Pontes. (...)
Brendan Foreman, in the "Folk Tales" writes:
A few tracks later, one of the star fado singers of Portugal, Dulce Pontes, sings "Maitia nun zira? (Where are you, my love?)," a traditional Basque love song. Here, as in other places in this set, with other artists, Junkera hangs back and lets Pontes' gorgeous voice be the star.
Dulce made a duet with Andrea Bocelli in his album "Sogno" singing the song "O Mare E Tu"
