The sun was shining and the guitars, harps and pianos were blazing for the 12th Annual Monterey Bay Blues Festival. The main arena featured Etta James, Luther Allison, Clarence Carter, the Gospel Hummingbirds and local favorites Tommy Castro, Chris Cain and Barbara Morrison. But as usual the general admission shows out on the grounds were just as hot (or hotter still!). Here's some photos that prove, once again, that the Monterey Bay Blues Festival is still the best party on the West Coast!

Frankie Lee Frankie Lee tore it up out on the Garden Stage Saturday
afternoon after his energetic Main Stage performance.

and drummer were rockin' on the Presidents Stage.
Beverly Stovall Beverly Stovall, the queen of boogie, let us do
all the movin' for her!
