Attention All Humor ListServer members:
Special Attention all AOL subscribers:

A problem has cropped-up which at this time is affecting only AOL subscribers. This message is being sent to the entire list however, in the event a similar situation affects the mailings you receive.

The Humor Digest is formatted and distributed as a plain text message. It seems that AOL converts all messages over a certain size to an attachment. The problem arises when an individual AOL member has blocked attachments from being received. The Digest is rejected and returned to our ListServer.

This places an undue burden on the UGA Systems Administrator, in that the returned mail is sent there.

At the present time, the solution to this problem rests with you. If you, as an AOL user, would still like to receive the HumorList in Digest form, you will have to accept downloads.

If not, may I suggest you switch to the "Mail" option and receive the individual jokes as they are posted (10-20 daily)
                                              To accomplish this:
                             Send an e-mail to: listserv@uga.cc.uga.edu
                             leave the subject area blank;
                             in the BODY of the letter, type: SET HUMOR MAIL

The last and least desirable option (from my point of view), if neither of the above options are acceptable, I'm afraid the rejections will cause you to be dropped from the HumorList.
