It was based upon the street people who were sneaking into pay toilets.
There's a lot of history in Baltimore. Recent excavations have shown it was the site of a caveman colony. The wheel was even invented there -- but two days later, somebody stole the hubcaps.
Asked why I liked country living better than city living by a long time Baltimore City dweller, I told him the freshness of country air for one thing.
"Country air ?" he replied. "Why there's nothing better than city air -- I like air you can sink your teeth into !"
