IMPORTANT: This site will be deleted as well as everyone else's who are hosted here at Geocities on October 26, 2009. According to Geocities we were known as "homesteaders". They sent us our eviction notice! I now have my own hosting plan and will have DoMeDanny.com hosted HERE AT MY NEW DOMEDANNY.COM. Be sure to go there and bookmark it now, even though it is now only under construction. I will no longer add, change, or modify anything on this Geocities site.
Online since January 8, 1997! (Actually that's when I got on the "real" Internet, been online with a Commodore 64 via Q-Link around 1987 or 1988, and then on to Cleveland Freenet in the early '90's).
This is my new main site page. My old page, was well, just getting too old, outdated, and stale for even me to look at anymore. This one is still under some construction.
Here is my MYSPACE site. If that link doesn't work, TRY THIS. They gave me 2 URL's, the last one used to work, now the first one does.
My family has plenty of musicians. RICKY EXTON is a famous world class drummer. His older brother, BRIAN EXTON is also well known, who is in the band "Jacked Up". My twin brother Michael Hanson is a singer who recently formed a duo with the late Ed "Cellis" Skinner, who also was well known worldwide, was in the bands Satta, First Light, and I-Tal. Sadly "Cellis" passed away in March 2009.
In the meantime, check out some Oldies But Goodies from the 60's (some 50's and 70's may be thrown in too) at my OLDEEZ site. Most of these oldies aren't played any more. NEW: Listen to my oldies at Rock City Radio via Internet broadcast PRESENTLY OFFLINE, SORRY, due to hackers. (40K stereo mp3 stream) at ROCK CITY RADIO. The station is presently a part time experimental venture, specializing mainly in obscure oldies. You will also hear my (PRESENTLY OFFLINE)Internet station simulcast on 93.5 FM if you're in my neighborhood, 93.5 IS up and running. HERE IS A LIST of most of my mp3s that you will hear on my station. NEW UPDATE: June, 2009: I added pretty much the Top 50 of Billboard's Hot 100 pop chart as well as the Top 25 Billboard Hot Country, so now have a real strange mix!
Remember Cleveland's WIXY 1260 radio from the late 60's and early 70's? I have almost all their weekly countdown surveys as published in _The Cleveland Press_ from 1967 thru 1971 at WIXY SURVEYS. Right now there's some surveys at a site, and the rest are linked on a directory page. There are a few missing that I don't have, but virtually a complete set of scans from that time period. I used to have the actual surveys clipped from the newspaper, but lost those long ago. Luckily someone I used to know had a set, and I photocopied them before he sold them, then scanned the photocopies in, so quality isn't the greatest, as I didn't have a scanner when I photocopied his originals. Many files have 4 surveys to a page. There are a few WHK, KYW, and other local surveys there also.
I also have a site with some lame pictures taken, just goofing around, nothin' earth shattering, with my camera phone, and some other pics from other sources, at STOOPID PICS, on a British server called FreeServe.com, I thought I'd give them a try for grins and to see if they will give me a site as registering from the US. It worked. If you *really* must see my old site with our ol' pals Clinton and Blew-who-ski and the Hale-Bopp 31 (or however many there were, no 31 flavors here!), it can be found at OLD SITE, which will probably be eventually removed. On any sites linked from there, click your browser's back button to return to the old site page, as the HOME button on the linked pages will bring you to this page instead. I'll have to go thru all those and correct that sometime.
I have a new guestbook, which I titled "Dangerous Dan's Guestbook". "Dangerous Dan" is what some of the guys called me at my former job at NeverCare, probably cuz I used to do our Columbus run to our branch pharmacy there in an hour and forty-five minutes each way. You fill in the blank: Dangerous Dan averages ____ mph over the speed limit. Or could it be cuz I accelerate so quickly, I sent new trainees into G-LOC? (Look that up in your Funk & Wagnalls!). Well, here is the guestbook:
Here's some intersting introspectives and insights from a pal of mine who is doing time (4 years, about half done) in Marion Correcional Institution. It's more a text file right now, here's his BLOG.
Email me at dannykewlNOSPAM@fsmailNOSPAM.net (copy and paste and remove the "NOSPAMS"). I post my email address this way as an anti-spam measure. I'm trying a UK email server (FreeServe) in hopes that I get less spam than American webmail servers. I'lll see. If you know me and know my 2 more personal addresses, continue using those. I still may have "bwana1@lycos.com" listed on some of my other pages within, you can email me there too, but I don't check that one as often.

WARNING!
ONE WAY!
KEEP LEFT!
DO NOT MERGE RIGHT!
THE RIGHT LANE HAS BEEN PERMANENTLY CLOSED FOR DECONSTRUCTION!
STEER CLEAR OF THE BUSHES, THEY CONTAIN THORNY PRICKS THAT CAN SEVERELY INJURE OR BE FATAL!
With the above in mind, I want to say NOT ONLY God Bless America - let's not be selfish here :-) - But, God Bless All people in all lands that have a heart and are against terrorism, wherever the terrorists are in the world - fighting in Iraq has not rid the world of terrorism or Bin Laden - terrorists are in the "civilized" countries also. We did get Saddam and a bunch of others who are all we're probably going to get - There are many factions, the Al Qaeda, and the Bush Administration, just to name a couple. So time to stop the war now!
OK, kitties may be too off the wall for ya. If so, here's some nice pictures of TITS!. Suitable for the whole family. Really!
ORIGIN of my names: Danny Kewl is from listening to 50's oldies, where someone who was very "cool" was known as "Daddy Cool". "Daddy Cool" was also the flip side of a big hit by The Rays in 1957 called "Silhouettes", and "Daddy Cool" also got some recognition, unlike many B sides. I always thought about using "Danny Cool" as a nickname, but didn't come to be until I got online, and I thought the going expression "Kewwwllll" sounded and looked better than "Cool", so I adopted the name of "Danny Kewl". "Dangerous Dan" is referenced above, what some of the guys called me at work, due to their notion that I am a fast driver. Actually, I probably drive no faster than many of the others, who are in the 10 to 20 over league. I use protection, a "fuzzbuster". "Bwana" is from "Bwana Don", a name I used when I DJ'ed at a pirate radio station down my street in the early 70's. In high school, a lot of the kids starting calling me "Bwana", among other things, and I was very irritated by it until I found out "Bwana" is the Swahili word for "master". I clammed up then, call me "Bwana" all you want! At the radio station I just added on "Don" as it seemed to have a good "ring" to it. "Do Me Danny" had it origins in the early 90's. I believe it was the old Adidas commercial that always said "Just Do It", and I remember seeing T-shirts around with things like "I Just Did It And Went To Jail For It" or "I Just Did It And It Felt Good", etc. But I never seen anybody come up with what I thought was the obvious comeback "Just Do ME"! Maybe someone did, but I never seen it, so I had a baseball cap made with just that slogan, "JUST DO ME" in big bold letters. It did get a lot of attention at bars and parties! I still have that cap somewhere, even though I haven't worn it for a couple of years. I should bring it out again. Anyway, when I started getting on line years ago (since 1997), I was toying with domain names I could register for myself, and as I wanted one maybe a bit controversial, one I immediatly thought of was "Do Me Danny". I wasn't sure if I should use that, or to use "Danny Do Me" (.com). After some thought, I decided "Do Me Danny", again, had a little better "ring" to it, so here we are, DoMeDanny.com. I'm also using DannyKewl.com, but right now that goes here also, I may change that later. Another name I sometimes go by, just by certain old friends, is "Eli". I got that one put on me in 1969 as one of the songs I really liked at the time was "Eli's Coming" by Three Dog Night, and these friends started calling me "Eli". Only "Bwana" is older by maybe two years. As far as my radio station, to me it was a no-brainer. I live in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum city, and after thinking of a few names for my radio station, "Rock City Radio" sounded too good to pass up. I just use that, no call letters, like WRCR, which I'd love to have, but only the FCC can approve call letters. There ya have it!
As a public service, I have the Amber Alert Ticker posted below:
