Heretic
Would you say I'm heathen?
After I found the logical principle
which renders the main religions paradoxical?
Is it infidel to point out they are contradictory?
Shall I stand indicted for heresy,
by defenders of a demonstsably inconsistent faith?
The elegant argument used to convert our pagan lineage in previous millenia
can now be shown false and impossible.
The unitary creator deity is mythical by necessity.
Must I absolve his proponents of liability for their lie?
After so much bloodshed over the ages, need I overlook their malice?
The assertion of but one infinite creator god is an impossible falsehood.
Do I allow proponents of an ugly absurdity
to proselytize new generations
when they would stifle our splendid pagan deities?
Unlike theirs, our gods have a chance of being real.
Did anyone they burned alive have a place on my family tree?
In retrospect, the ethical stance of the witches
looks better than that of the priests.
With infinity impossible, monotheism is untenable.
Can you tell me now, that good intentions drove forced conversions?
I can't accept good faith as an excuse for such malevolence.
True, only now have we sharpened our logic to refute the lie.
Yet it has been false nonetheless through all past ages.
How are the inquisitors blameless?
