The Peak Experience
Nearing the end of your second decade
you become aware that things are more complicated than people told you
and the scary thought is
maybe they're more complicated than they can tell you.
You can see already that the nature of the problem is reality.
The things they tell you are most real
you notice are pretty flimsy and will fall apart at the first kick.
What they call intangibles you call incredible.

The land game, that's what's most important.
There is a variant opinion on the land game.
The native people here say land really isn't anybody's
and that's evidently on a higher plane of law.
That you may presume land use a particular way is an illusion,
the speculator's illusion of futurity.
Social inertia is the key illusion.
The so-called information age, that's what's real.
All consciousness promulgated is the byword.
All thoughts broadcast is the ideal.

you just imagine you're the ones who started it all
and that you can remember all that.
That works for a game, and the way it's played
is guessing who's really on top.
The game is played for chromosomes.
That is the simplified technique for virtual deities.
May not be much of a game, but it's the only game in town.
Life is all there is that matters.
People may be distressed at losing the notion of property,
but distress isn't really pain, it doesn't diminish life.
Wild life is real life and doesn't belong to people.
Human beings just get consciousness.
Dominion over all life forms is not up for grabs.
