Herbie Hancock is one of those musicians who can amaze you in many different styles of music. His older jazz standards are smooth with great improvisation. His duet albums with Wayne Shorter are musically amazing and the interaction between the two is wonderful. Also, on his album Headhunters, he takes psychadelic funk and combines it with jazz for a really "funked-up" version of Watermelon Man. This song you are hearing now is also on that album. Of course, it sounds much better and has a distinct funk groove to it. Some of Herbie's Greatest Hits:
