1/4 c. oil
2 lbs. lean ground beef
6 medium-size garlic cloves, minced
1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
3 green bell peppers(chopped)
1 c. beer (don't use the cheap stuff!)
2 medium onions(minced)
1 8oz. can tomato paste
3 Tbsp. chili powder
2 Tbsp. oregano
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 Tbsp. salt
1 tsp. cider vinegar
In a medium saucepan, heat oil. Add garlic, bell peppers and onions and saute until onions are transparent. Add chili powder and cayenne and saute 1 minute more. Add beef and saute, stirring to break up meat, until evenly browned, 7 to 10 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thick, about 20 minutes. Makes 4-6 servings.
