Midi's
Georgia On My Mind - I know what you are thinking. "Georgia On my Mind?!? That's not gothic!" And you are right. However, if you have ever heard the actual song and not just the midi, you know it's a rather moody song. And with blues, how can you go wrong? The midi isn't that good, but the song is wonderfull.
Laputa - This is from some anime show that I have never seen. Soft and haunting, in my opinion. This was the runner up for which midi to use for the main page.
Moonlight Sonenta - The midi from the main page, this is another very soft, haunting one. One of my all time favoret classical works.
Nightmare Before Christmas - Christmas Town - When I heard this one it brought up images from Tim Burton's film, and more of Halloween town then christmas town.. It does sound kind of "halloweenish" as my sister put it, but good none the less.
Nothing Else Matters - My all time favoret Metallica song, and the theme for one of my characters. Beautiful and sad, it actually brought me near tears the first time I heard it. We women are so emotional. The lyrics are here.
Possession - One of the best Sarah McLachlan songs ever, off her Fumbling Towards Ecstasy album (that's right, surfacing isn't her first album. And she was always wonderful). Haunting and disturbing lyrics, which you can find here.
Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These) - The Marliyn Manson version. I like the orignal better myself, but this one is pretty good.
Wait - Anothing Sarah McLachlan from the FTE album. Pretty good song, though the midi doesn't do it justice. However, it's good in it's own right. If you have a better one, send it to me. The lyrics to this one are here.
Ballet (True Name Unknown) - Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful!! Soft, sad, and maybe it's just me but I think it has a kind of "Anime Love Story" quality. If you have seen alot of anime, listen to this one and you'll see what I mean.
Number One Crush - Very good song about clear obsession. Love song my rear. That's like saying "I'll be Watching You" is a song about a devoted boyfriend.
Angie - How can you go wrong with the Stones? The music is quite beautiful on this one, soft if not that slow. It's a matter of personal taste, I guess.
Closer - Every pre-teen (and teen) boys theme song. Don't care for the song myself, but the music (and midi) kicks butt.
Enter Sandman - Metallica. 'Nuff said. The lyrics are here.
FreeFalling - Tom Petty classic. This is another one that is a matter of taste. Depends on what signifiance you find in the song as to weither or not you think it appropret to put here.
I Alone - LIVE!! C'mon, how can you possibly go wrong? This is another one about obsession. I'm going to try to dig up Lightening Crashes.
My Friend of Misery - Anothing Metallica one. I'll try and get the lyric's up soon.
More Than Words - Beautiful song. This is another one you have to use your personal judgement on. The music is sweet and soft, though the midi could have been done better. Considering the song is singing and guitar, though, I guess it's not really a prime choice to make a midi of.
Of Wolf and Man - The Lupine's Theme. he`h. Metallica. Lyrics coming.
Where ever I may Roam - I love this song. Maybe for the Ravnos in your family? Again, Metallica, lyrics coming.
Sad But True - What the hell are the swooshes in the background for? If you have a better midi of this one, send it, please. Lyrics are here.
Stupid Girl - I think it's a pretty good midi for the most part. Haunting, from everyone's favoret band, Garbage, with everyones favoret scary chick.
Sweet Emotion - Aerosmith!! Hey, I just hope I am so active in my.. what are they? 80? Anyhow, the song kicks butt.
Hold me, Thrill me, Kiss me, Kill me - The name says it all. U2, and the last good BatMan movie.
Don't Tread on Me - Metalica again. Lyrics coming.
Unforgiven - Not the best midi for this song, it sounds a little too... I dunno how to say it. It just doesn't sound as depressing as the song should be. You be the judge.
You Oughta Know - The Witch ex-girlfriends theme. A must.
