Charles Herbert Taylor, 67, of Oliver Springs died Monday, march 11, 1996, in his home.
Mr. Taylor was a native of Oliver Springs and a member of Orchard View Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver, which he worked for 25 years.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He served in Hiroshima and Nagasaki areas following the drop of the atomic bomb.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Barton Taylor and Sara Nichols Taylor; a brother, Barton Taylor Jr.; and two sisters, Margaret Qualls and Gustavia Taylor.
Survivors are his wife, Clara B. Taylor of Oliver Springs; son, William Taylor and wife, Patricia, of Lebanon, TN; daughters, Sheila Kirby of Lebanon, Tn; and Lula Thomas and husband, Farrell, of Dalton, GA; brother, Charles E. Taylor of LaFollette; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services were held 2 pm Wednesday, March 13, in Orchard View Cemetery. Family received friends 6-8 pm Tuesday, March 12, in Sharp Funeral Home, which was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
