The Engagement Party.
The engagement party, simulcast live round the world on www.sexylifestyles.com.au, was an international sensation. A copy of the post-party chatroom session is stored in the national archives and the Oz-sonian Museum, and is regarded as a national treasure.  Hosted at Melbourne's famous Baby Blue Lounge, the dress code required a loud shirt for entry.

At the bar. Note that Louise is so proud of her charming and intelligent-looking husband that she has chosen to hide her face.

Twinkle, twinkle, little Bakes. When David arrived, Kristine shared  her theory that we are all about to die, crushed by a giant meteor shaped like a pub ceiling. David and Brian trembled in fear.

But thirty isn't "old!" Adam can't keep a straight face as he thinks about his future.

I've got this lovely Torana out back, sweetie, only driven to the bank on Sundays by a nice old lady. Used car salesman Craig and an unsuspecting customer. Sr. Constable Arran looks nervously on, wondering if any laws are about to be broken.

Classing up the joint. Kristine worried that our friends had forgotten the seriousness of the occasion, so she took the level of sophistication up to a whole new level.

Faces in the crowd - candids. (A) Happy Arran. (B) Adam's first martini. (C) Close friends Ed and Carol laughing at Brian's wit. (D) Brian & Kristine greeting guests. (E) John arrived late, but wore a loud shirt. (F) After a few drinks, Grace was all over Craig and  Will was all over Adam. It was embarassing.
