This is an attempt to keep track of Vonnegut references in movies and television shows. This is the newest section of the site and some of the examples are a little unclear. Back To School	In this comedy classic, Rodney Dangerfield's character hires Kurt Vonnegut to write a paper on one of his books. Dangerfield's teacher says that the person who wrote the paper obviously knew nothing about Vonnegut. A rare Vonnegut cameo!	shannonmark@juno.com
Can't Hardly Wait	Near the end of this movie, Preston (Ethan Embry) passes up a chance to go to a Vonnegut writing seminar to spend a little time getting to know Amanda (Jennifer Love Hewitt), who he's had a crush on throughout high school. Footloose	In this Kevin Bacon movie, not only are the kids not allowed to dance, but they are not allowed to read Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five.
My So Called Life	In one episode, Rayanne's (AJ Langer) mother tells Angela (Claire Danes) that she (the mom) and Angela's mother (played by Bess Armstrong) are part of the same karass. I think this is the same episode that Jordan and Rayanne are in a band that covers the Ramones, I Wanna Be Sedated.	afn27907@afn.org
The Recruit	In this movie, Al Pacino's character and Colin Farrell's character discuss Ice-9. Ice-9 was apparently some CIA computer program. Pacino tells Ferrell to read Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle, which he does later in the movie while sitting in a coffee shop.	itb72@hotmail.com
