Hey Y'all!

I just wanted to let you all know that I spent some time with Bryan and Mike on Thursday at the Style Jam 2000 in NYC. They showed up to support O-Town. Let me just tell you how sweet they are...you know, i always read about how nice Bryan was, and I had gotten a very nice email from him once before, but nothing you read can compare. Mike and Bryan are such sweethearts. I will just leave it at that for now...just keep supporting them!

*Mike - if you read this - remember - I only gave you ONE more chance!!! - talk to you soon!

Dear members of the Bryan Chan Fan Club -

I can't believe it's been almost a year to the day that this whole process started for me. Last year at this time I was spending Thanksgiving with my family telling them all about this "competition" I was about to leave for in Orlando Florida - where I would compete for 8 final spots in a production called "O-town". Now, I look forward to spending the next few days with my family filling them in on all the latest news on "LMNT".

I certainly have a lot to be thankful for this year, amongst the good health of my family and friends - I have been incredibly blessed with God's graces and truly believe that I am working on the project and with the people I was meant to be be with all along. Sometimes what we think is our destiny is only a detour to our final destinations.

So to all of the club members - your loyal support and encouragement is what keeps us going from day to day and for that I want to extend a personal thank you and wish you a happy holiday to you and your families. I personally read each fanmail that comes into the site and although I can't respond to everyone - I sincerely appreciate them all. They make me laugh, smile and work even harder then the day before - knowing that there are people that believe in what we're doing.

To the fan club officers - Jean, Jodie, Jenny, Melissa, Grace and Karen - you continually suprise and impress me with the accuracy and speed of this site, it's no wonder that everyone from our publicist to our management team refers to the bryanchanfanclub as the "source" for LMNT information.

Wishing you all the best of the season -

Bryan

I found out about Bryan Chan through Making The Band. Here in the Philippines, I must admit that we are pop-fixated . A lot of teenagers are into the boy band thing that it is easy to bring a show with 8 gorgeous guys trying to make it in the band that would follow 'N Sync and BSB's fame. But maybe it is because I am already 22 years old and somehow I have already passed my adolescent years that the guys I have come to like the most in the group were Bryan, Ikaika, and Mike. But on second thought, its really their talent and courage that made me sit up and notice. Our telecast here in the Philippines is delayed and we are just in the episode of MTB when Bryan and Mike left the group. Thanks to the internet, though, I am still up to date with what is going on with the guys. I am most grateful to the Bryan Chan fan club executives for including me in their mailing list. Through them, I found out about the scheduled TeenMag chat of LMNT. Though I was so frustrated that I wasn't able to join the chat event, Bryan Chan e-mailed me , and for that I am so happy and thankful. At first, I didn't know that it was Bryan's e-mail that I was reading, but when it finally dawned on me that what I was reading was from him, I got so excited that I started sending pager, e-mail and SMS messages to friends to tell them of the good news. And they were so happy for me. I wish that upon learning how nice Bryan Chan is, my friends will also start supporting LMNT. I will never tire of supporting Bryan Chan and LMNT, and I will always be spreading the word around here in the Philippines how wonderful the LMNT guys are. Bryan Chan's e-mail to me is below....thanks to you all! Thanks to Bryan Chan for being generous of his time. Good Luck!

Hi Tina - I'm sorry you couldn't get into the chat room, from what I hear it was kind of confusing. Anyway I've gotten all your fan mail and seen your posts up on the website...I can't tell you how much your support and love means to me - especially coming from the Phillipines. I didn't know how far the show would go, but apparently it has started to air in Europe and South America as well, I'm glad it made it over to you, and I'm glad that some of my relatives over there could have the chance to watch the show.

I hope you stay posted to the site, it should keep you up to date as to all our events and releases. Thanks again for rooting for us, It means the world to the guys and I.

All the best - Bryan

My name is Jennifer, and I go to Megan's school. My friend Jennifer (a different one) and I asked Bryan if he would come into our class too, even though we knew it wouldn't happen. In between periods, Megan came up to me, and started jumping up and down, then pulled herself together, then said, "Sorry, i got one for me, but I couldn't get one for you."
Actually, she was planning to give it to me for Christmas. Determined to get an autograph, I asked my friend I'Alla to get one for me. Then, in the last 15 minutes left in school, Bryan walks in and says in his sweet way, "I promised you guys I'd come, so here I am!" Everyone made a mad rush for paper and a pen. He talked to us for a little while, then started the autographs. He was just putting HIS name on everyone's though. Since I had already gotten one, I asked him to address one to my sister, knowing that she would praise me for it. Then, someone asked him to sing for us! He did, and it was so sweet! Then, after almost everyone left, my friend Ashley and Kate and I stayed after and talked to him, face to face!!! When he was about to leave, I knew it was either now or never, so I asked him if I could have a hug. HE SAID YES!!!!!!
That was an awesome experience.

Megan's encounter: On Friday, November 3, Bryan Chan walked into my 6th grade block classroom. My teacher had told us that she had been his favorite History and Homeroom teacher, and it says so on his fan page! Anyway, Ms. Ludlow told us that he was coming out to visit with his mom, and was going to stop by! Of course, we were all estatic! We went into the new gym to watch the Swing Dance Competiotion, and then we saw a tall guy with blonde and brown hair walk into the gym. After signing a few autograghs, he finally weaved his way through the students and hugged my teacher. After the assembly, he walked with us back to the classroom and talked with all of us. After answering a lot of questions, it was time for autograghs. I asked him if it was ok if he signed 3 for me, and he said sure. One was for my friend Jennifer, who was obsessed with the show over the summer, one was for my friend Britney because her birthday was coming up, and the other was of course, for me! Since I was first in line, I looked at some of the work that my teacher had dug up of him. She even found his class picture when he was in 6th grade! He was even cute then! All of the work I saw was all an A, so he seemed to be pretty much perfect, no matter how much he denied it. In between periods, all of these girls crowded around the outside of our door screaming and waving paper and pens. My teacher was trying to keep them all out there and out of the classroom. We ended up talking with him for 2 and a half hours! He was so nice, and seemed just like a normal human! It was so cool to meet a celebrity!

Jaime's encounter: It was July 26 and there was a torrential downpour of rain. I made my way from work to meet my friend at MSG for the NSYNC concert that we were VERY impatiently awaiting for many months.

When we arrived, there were crowds of girls and from the distant shot we saw, it looked like some guys posing as NSYNC and taking pictures. We saw the curly hair, like Justin's and the spikes with blonde tips, like Lance. We walked closer to see what was going on and I noticed Bryan, but I thought I was going crazy, so i asked some girl that was standing near me if that was him. When she said yes, I turned into a little school girl and freaked out a little, which made my friend laugh. I made my way through the crowd of 12-14 year old girls and began talking to him.

I said hi and told him that my best friend and I were probably the oldest ones who watched "Making The Band" and were really pissed when him and Mike didn't make it--we loved them. He thanked me and we talked for awhile. He told me about his new band and how they were holding a contest for a name. He then pointed out Ikaika and Matt and said that Mike couldn't make it out that night. We took a picture and I made my way over to Ikaika.

When I got to him, there were even more girls. It was nuts. Some girl said to him: "Do you mind my flash in your face?" He never answered her, and then I asked if I can take a picture with him. I guess he had a delayed reaction to the other girl's qustion and said, "No." I was like, "What?" He started laughing and apologized to me, telling me the "no" was meant for her and of course I can take a picture with him. They were both sweethearts.I then went over to Matt, having really no clue who he was, but that he was hot. We talked for a little, and took a picture. I then asked his age, and realized that he's only 2 months younger than me--perfect. I should of been hitting on him more than I was.

My friend and I decided to go inside the Garden after that (I missed my chance with Matt). I was disappointed that Mike wasn't there, but they all were great guys. And after meeting them, my outlook on Ikaika was different.

I went to a Disney VIP Party on Saturday August 28th. And as I was waiting for the performers to come on some lady asked me if I recognized the guy walking in, well I turn around and I realize it is Ikaika and of course being the big goof ball that I am I said, a little louder than I wanted to, "Oh My God! It's Ikaika!"
Of course he heard me and turned and flashed that gorgeous smile and waved. My friends asked who he was and I explained about Making the Band (at that moment I didn't know about LMNT!) And we noticed that there was a really cute blond with him (Matt of course!)
So my friends are all like, "Go up and say hello."
I didn't want to bother him so I said, "No, I can't."
Then I turn around and I'm like, "Oh My God! Bryan is with him!"
And again my friends are like, "Go take a pic with them."
Again I said, "No, I dont want to disturb them."
Then I turn around yet again and I see that Mike is with them, well that was it! I had to go up to them! So, I went up to Mike and was like, "I just had to tell you that I was rooting for you the whole time I really wanted you to make it! ( I wanted Ikaika, Bryan, and Mike)."
And Mike got all happy and gave me a big hug then I talked to them for a few minutes and took a great pic with the whole group.

I kept seeing the guys throughout the party and I just have to say that they are some of the sweetest guys that I have met, I was so happy that Mike and Bryan remembered my name :)

They didn't mind taking the time to talk to me and my friends about recording the album and how they hope to go on tour next year! (Cross your fingers!!)

I am soo happy that Ikaika, Matt, Mike, and Bryan have formed their own band. I am looking forward to the release of their CD!!!!

Hey there. Well, last Friday (October 27, 2000) I was at school eating lunch like normal, when I saw a tall Asian guy walking with a short teacher. My friend Kristina and I were like "that looks exactly like...OMG!" It was Bryan walking in the middle of our quad! I threw my pizza and started to hypervintalate along with Kristina and my other friend Chantelle, who let out a LOUD scream. We grabbed paper and some pens and walked over to him.
I asked, "Are you signing autographs?"
"Of course," he answered.
I gave him the paper and pencil and told him my name. Then I said, "You went to high school with my brother."
And he asked me, "Who is your brother?"
I told him my brother's name and he said, "Oh, I know him!" and I smiled ecstatically.
Then, I made him laugh by telling him how my brother found out about him; by watching Politically Incorrect and going, "I know that guy."
Bryan found it very funny and was laughing immediately. I went up to him later in the gym and told him that my friend, Renee, would kill me if I didn't get her an autograph. He laughed again, and signed the autograph for her. Then i asked, "Can i have a hug?" and he's like, "Sure."
Then I hugged him, and he has a good hug! My friends were too chicken to ask him for a hug and stopped halfway while walking towards him in the gym.
They were telling me, "Nicole, I hate you!" for the rest of the day, and Chantelle even ran up to hug me to get some of him on her, LOL! it was pretty crazy!

I'm still shaking!!!!!!
But here goes... I'm typing away at my desk when I hear a knock at the door. Again, I wasn't expecting anyone. The door opens and it's Bryan, Ikaika and Matt. Oh my gosh! They looked just as casual and relaxed as before. Matt was really nice too. Now I only have Mike to meet. =) I can't even believe I'm writing this up... I'm still shaking!~ They were on the way to rehearsal again, but did humor me by putting their backpacks down for a second. I was a little better than last time though...I took three pictures and I can't wait to get them developed for the site! I was even in one with them. I don't know what else to write guys. What can I say? They all wonderful! They totally made my day again!!!!!!!! =) If there's ever a prize for sincerity and sweetness, these guys have it all sewn up!

***a personal note on the story below*** October 2, 2000

I just wanted to address some of the fans that have expressed their opinions regarding the story listed below from Janet in MI. I started e-mailing with Janet because we have many common interests, one being the success of LMNT and amongst the others, dealing with an illness.

Janet has leukemia and my step-father had an aneurysm in the brain about four and a half years ago. What amazed me was the fact that she is so upbeat and so bright in attitude. She helped me and still does keep focused on the good things in life and how I should never take anything for granted.

Knowing that Janet's favorite, although she likes everyone, is Ikaika...I talked it over with Karen and we thought it would be great if Ikaika could e-mail or call Janet. Not knowing if it would ever really happen, I e-mailed Bryan and asked him if he could pass the word along to Ikaika and left it at that.

Now, Janet's a very cheerful person to begin with, but I can't tell you how ecstatic she was when telling me how she talked to him for like 45 minutes and how Bryan was teasing her saying, "It's really him!" into the phone at the same time.

When I had met Ikaika, I was happy for him because he seemed so at peace with his life now. He was able to smile, laugh and have a normal conversation. He wasn't at all like the brooding, quiet person you saw on TV. I'm not saying that I'm a saint. I had my little stab of anger, but that's exactly what the show wanted to do. Lou wanted and needed drama to keep people interested in the show.

Please, let's not forget that we saw 20 minutes, once a week of some highly edited footage. Not the whole story. The real story. Ikaika just went ahead and called Janet to make her feel that much better. And it worked. For that I will always be grateful.

I'd like to think that one of our distinguishing features is that we can get REAL news to all the fans out there. Not your run-of-the-mill gossip, but things that help you understand and connect with Bryan and the other members of the group, whenever it applies.

The story is totally true. Illness is not something that should be used to achieve someone's 15 minutes of fame; and I can assure you that this Fan Club would never participate in something that shady.

Just take it at face value. A fan received a phone call from her favorite artist. Everyone's happy. What else do you really need to analyze? -Grace

OH MY GOD THESE GUYS REALLY DO CARE!!!

It's Monday afternoon and I'm sitting at the kitchen table when the phone rings. My husband picks it up says "yes she is just a minute" and hands me the phone, I say "hello" and the most handsome voice says "Hi Janet" I of course say "who is this" and to my extreme surprise and pleasure I hear" This is Ikaika Kahoano". After catching my breath I ask "who?" and again the amazing voice says Ikaika from LMNT. Again I stop breathing and ask "Really, you are putting me on" He says "No, it's me" The more he spoke the more I realized it had to be him. He told me Bryan gave him my number after reading an email he got about me and thought he should write to me or give me a call. And being the amazingly sweet man that he is he chose the more personal phone call.

Ladies, he really is a sweetheart. We talked as if we have been friends forever. Our conversation was easy and light and full of laughs. He has a great sense of humor. I could have talked to him forever, as it was we talked for about 45 minutes. I was in heaven. Now I can tell everyone that Ikaika is truly a wonderful man who genuinely appreciates his fans and is so grateful for their support.

The band is working hard and hope to have a label real soon. I told him I couldn't wait to hear their music and that the clip of "Good in Goodbye" that is out there on the web isn't enough. He said the song sounds much better now that it has been mixed. I told him that I guess for now I'll just have to listen to my "Fruit From the Tree" cd until I can get my hands on LMNT's stuff. He seemed genuinely touched that I had bought the cd he put together with his brothers and hoped I liked it. I said I thought it was great and wanted to hear more. And not only is he incredibly sweet he is modest too because he told me his younger brother is the one with the talent.

So to make a long story short. Keep supporting these guys they really do appreciate it and love to know they have fans out there. And the next time you hear or see someone bashing Ikaika you remember me and how one afternoon a girl got a phonecall that just made her day. And that the guy on the other end was the sweetest, most considerate, and wonderful person to take time out of his busy day to call a fan and wish her the best.

I thought this would be cute to share with all of you. My son is best friends with Bryan Chan's cousin Dominic. Dominic and Anthony (my son) had a basketball award night and Bryan was there. His aunt and uncle Brenda and Frank introduced us to him. My daughter Monica who is 12 was so excited to see Bryan there ( I was too). He talked to us and took pictures with us. He also gave us an autographed picture of the O-town group. We were at Frank & Brenda's last night and he had an 8x10 picture of Bryan, myself and my daughter Monica and Frank promised that when Bryan came over again that he would have him autograph it. We have a spot on the living room wall waiting to put it up.

Bryan, thank you for taking the time to talk and take pictures with us. You are great. I have to tell you though that your mom and your aunt Brenda are your biggest fans and your biggest promoters. Brenda told us all about O-Town even before it aired. She told us to watch the show months before it even started. And till today, we are also fans. My daughter Monica says hello and if you could email us soon. Good luck with LMNT. I read your news article at Brenda's that you sent from New York, it was great! Nice new hair style.

Love,
Tedine and Monica Gutierrez from San Bruno, California

AUGUST 29, 2000

Hi all!

I just wanted to share a phenomenal experience with all of you! I had e-mailed Bryan through the club a while ago just saying that we all supported the new group and that we were waiting for their first album. In the e-mail, I also wrote...just in case...my office address and that it is located opposite the Manhattan Mall. Who knew??

Yesterday, August 29, around 1PM, someone knocks on my door, but they won't come in...I figure it's another delivery guy and open the door to see Bryan and Ikaika standing there. They're smiling and said that they just thought they'd "drop in to say hello" before going to practice(Mike and Matt had gone earlier). Meanwhile, I'm standing there with my mouth hanging open...Not knowing what to say. They both hugged me and kissed me on the cheek and came in for about 10-15 minutes. Both of them are real sweet, real tall and very good looking. They were actually late for practice, but took time out to visit a fan... They even clowned around with a gag wig I had laying around the office. It was nice to see that they are normal guys who are very grounded. They are adjusting to life on the East Coast and seem to be working very hard. They also hugged and kissed my cheek again before they left. I still have the goofiest grin on my face from the whole thing!!!!!!! The only thing that I could kick myself for is that I didn't have a camera on me and that I forgot to ask for autographs. When all is said and done...I will never forget the experience. And I can't wait until their album comes out!

-Grace

August 12, 2000

This was sent to me, Karen, but I'd like to share it with everyone.
By the way, there are several people who run the site. So, that e-mail goes out to Jean, Jodie, Jenny, and Melissa as well!

Hey Karen - It's great to hear from you and finally know who put together the site, MUCH LOVE for all your support.

I don't know how much you know, but yes, Mike Ikaika and a guy named Matt have formed a new group and we're living together in New Jersey and working in New York. I'm telling you, it's just like making the band but without the cameras. It's a four bedroom house and we all move, work, live, eat, breathe, practice together every day...it's crazy, but we're all having such a great time together. This is certainly the project I think I was meant to be on, we get along really well together, we have a lot of control over what kind of music we do and the people we work with, so that in itself is incredible.

You can email me at this address anytime, but i usually only get to check it about once a week because of our schedules. You can also give it to any of the other members if you want, and I'll be sure to forward anything about our new group as it comes out so you can have the best "OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL" website out there (our manager gets to have the "OFFICIAL" one). And once we start getting more promotion items like pictures, shirts and stuff like that I'll be sure to send some out to you....don't worry I'll take good care of my first fan club members!

Well our project is moving along really fast and we're in the studio constantly putting together songs...I hope you like them.....

I'll talk to you soon!

Bryan

July 4, 2000

To my mysterious and insightful friends - you didn't list a name on the web page so I'm not sure who I'm writing this to, but I wanted to thank you for all your support and creating such an incredible fan page.

I'm living in New York right now and working on another music project. Once the show started airing, I was approached by another management company that wanted to put together a music group with a different image. I'm really excited about this project and I know that this is the group that I was meant to work with. I still talk to all of the guys and they're doing great. Erik calls me a lot in between their promos and touring, and Ashley ususally calls when they're on the road. Trev and Jacob are still causing trouble and Dan keeps the level head when they're working.

Well I'll definitely be in contact with you once we get this other project up and running, so make sure you keep your eyes open....you'll be hearing about it soon.

Take care...

Bryan

December, 1999

Hello!
I have a pretty funny encounter! It started when we were at our grandma's house in San Fransisco. It was about 9:00 AM and I was still sleeping until I woke up from the sound of someone singing. At first, I thought it was the TV, but then I heard a commercial. Then I thought it was my dad, but I heard him say something, too! Still not knowing what it was, I got out of bed to find out. And...you guessed it! It was Bryan singing in the shower!! When he got out, my little brother asked what he was singing!! I couldn't tell exactly what he was singing because of the water running!! But it was kinda finny!!

PS: Bryan, If you don't want this up, tell me and I'll take it down!!

~Melissa!
