So, I began courting her with flowers. Saffy just loves flowers. First she'd savor the aroma, purring prettily all the while, then she'd tear the bouquet apart and scatter flowers and leaves all over the room. Don't let that bother you, though, for a male cat, that's a double compliment!
I love the flower girl.
Sing Saffy, sing.
Sometimes she'd sing to herself when she thought she was all alone. She had such a lovely voice. She'd sing the meow mix song, and you'd think you were hearing an angel. She caught me listening in on her, once or twice, and she was so bashful about it! Did you know a cat could blush? Well, neither did I!
I knew things were going good with the two of us when, after a while, she began to sing just for me.

One thing led to another, and before you knew it, we were on our honeymoon. We cats do it a bit differently. First we honeymoon, then, if we get around to it we may, or may not, have a ceremony.

Here we are, exhausted, after seven "honeymoons" in a row. Did I mention, I'm also a magnificent lover?

Naturally, being a cat, Saffy turned out to be as fertile as the Nile Delta. I had barely recuperated from our honeymoon before she made her big announcement "We're having a litter." I'll admit, I was pleased and excited. Imagine, me ... a daddy!

Before long, I had even more reason to be excited. Twelve plump little reasons, to be exact (wink, wink.)
Then came the big day.

Here I am waiting to hear the news. I was so anxious I was barely able to get more than 17 hours of sleep that day.

It wasn't easy for Saffy, either. I had to remind her they don't make kitty morphine. And she never let me forget my part. She reminded me by constantly exclaiming "you did this to me!"

The news finally came.
To our great surprise, we didn't have a litter, at all. Instead, we had just one healthy, handsome boy. A special little only-child. Believe me, I was not complaining

For obvious reasons, we decided to name him Sundae. We call him Sunny, for short.
It's a kitten!
 That's my boy.
Cute enough for ya? Mommy's boy.
Yes, he was cute enough, as far as infant kittens go, I guess. But, he sure took away from Scotty's fun time.

I figured we'd better keep him, though. His mother seemed to like him ...
