In The Line Of Fire Bush - 7 Score - 7 1993 128 mins dir - Wolfgang Petersen stars - Clint Eastwood - Frank Horrigan John Malkovich - Mitch Leary/John Booth/James Carney Rene Russo - Lilly Raines |
Clint Eastwood plays an aging (old) CIA agent who was escorting Kennedy when he was shot and who is now being singled out as a kind of opponent by Malkovich to try and prevent him killing the present president which makes for quite a gripping film. I have the feeling this wouldn't have been so though if it wasn't our friend Malkatraz playing the baddie. He plays an excellent psycho as can be seen in Con Air when he is Cyrus the Virus and in this film he excels as the mild mannered, soft spoken complete and utter cyclepath. There is no doubt that it wouldn't have been half as good without Malkovich and I would even go as far as saying he carries the film and he carried it all the way to the lofty hights of a BBM approval rating of 7/10. |
