The Fog is coming - Twenty Minutes into the film and the credits are still coming up on the screen - nothing is happening - a few sailors get killed by men in black raincoats - but still nothing happens - YOU ARE GETTING SLEEPY - Ooooh fog - what the hell is this stuff, it's some kind of fog that makes you get bored, a makes you continuously watch bad movies - where's the remote, I think I'll fast forward this bit because nothing is happening of any interest - ten minutes later - answer the door Mrs Kobritz because seeing you get killed will be good for a laugh and maybe business will start to pick up - no such luck, will the end never come - I think in the attempt to create an atmosphere which he manages to do, Mr Carpenter forgets to make a film that I could find in the least bit entertaining. It's just really slow and it stays this way throughout, even the bits where the fog reaches the town and things kind of start happening I was so bored by then that I just wanted it to finish. It is creepy but it's also boring. Anyway time to go, there's someone knocking on my door. What a peculiar knock, certainly not the knock of anybody I know, someone must be playing a prank on me. I know that I'll probably get killed if I answer it but what the heck, I will go and see who it is anyway. See you in hell. |
