Though
not with me anymore on this wonderous earth,
they
remain very close to my heart in so many ways. Thru
their
teachings as a child and now thru their very wonderfulmemories, I keep
them with me every
single
day and hold them very
close
to my heart. I owe these two wonderful people everything......
for they
are the ones that made me who I am!
To Those
I Love
If I should
ever leave you
Whom I love
To go along
the Silent Way,
Grieve not,
Nor speak of
me with tears,
But laugh and
talk of me as if I were beside you there.
(I'd come-I'd
come, could I find a way!
But would not
tears and grief be barriers?)
And when you
hear a song or see a bird I loved,
Please do not
let the thought of me be sad...
For I am loving
you just as I always have...
You were so
good to me!
There are so
many things I wanted still To do -
So many things
to say to you...
Remember that
I did not fear...
It was Just
leaving you that was so hard to face...
We cannot see
beyond...
But this I
know:
I loved you
so - 'twas heaven here with you!
Taken at their retirement party........................their
50th anniversary
They
both loved their family above all else, including not only their children
but
grandchildren who they adored dearly, loved their brothers and sisters,
neices
and nephews. Both retired from a small joint owned convienence store
they
owned for 35 years so you can see they were people that enjoyed other people.
Mom
loved hummingbirds, well birds of all sorts, her flower gardens, her house
plants of which there were too many to count, wrestling on TV even though
so said it was foolish, her many friends and a good joke. She loved to
laugh! What a wonderful cook she was too. She was a very kind hearted and
understanding woman. Her family was ALWAYS number one to her though above
all else!
Dad
was a very hard working man, having to stay busy all the time. He would
get his work caught up and would look for things to do, like help his kids
with their yard work, help the neighbors, etc. He took lots of pride in
everything he did and always triied to do things right so they would last.
Inotherwords, do it right and be proud of it or why do it at all? His camp/summer
house was his haven until Mom was no longer around to enjoy it with him.
His many vegetable gardens at camp each year he took such joy in. He also
loved a good joke and laugh too! I think the only reason he didn't give
up on life after Mom's passing was his daughters and grandchildren, whom
he adored!
This was written by a very dear
friend of theirs
about my Dad!
Rex
A special friend has left
us
Today he went away
To his final resting place
That's where this man will stay.
His two daughters loved him
so
And his three grand kids too
Myrtle's who he wanted
This we know is true.
Even though he had his friends
His children and his life
It's true all he ever wanted
Was to be united with his wife.
So now my friend, it's over
Your journey is complete
The two of you are together
So now rest those tired feet.
Take off you pack, slow down
And enjoy the eternal life
That is what you wanted
To be with your beloved wife.
Bud
THANKS BUDDY! I LOVED THE POEM! I'M SURE THEY BOTH WOULD
HAVE ALSO!
