Clearing the memory
Press The Mode Key: Blue Button at the top left The One Key: Row 7, Column 1 (You should now see STAT at the top of the screen.) You will see a menu of choices. Press The Right Arrow Key: right side of the big grey circle of buttons. The Right Arrow Key: right side of the big grey circle of buttons. so that D-CL is underlined. (D-CL stands for Data CLear.) Press The Enter Key: Row 8, Column 5  Also the Equals Key to accept it.

 

Entering data
one variable

Enter each number in your list followed by The Down Arrow Key: The lower button on the big grey circle The Down Arrow Key: The lower button on the big grey circle (the second arrow is for frequency, you enter 4 if that number is in the list 4 times).

Press The Down Arrow Key: The lower button on the big grey circle and enter the first y-value in your list. Press The Down Arrow Key: The lower button on the big grey circle and continue in this fashion for the rest of the ordered pairs.

 

Calculating one-variable statistics
mean (x)
Press The Stat Var Key: Row 2, Column 2. You will see a menu. Press The Right Arrow Key: right side of the big grey circle of buttons. as many times as you need to reach x. It should be the second choice listed.
standard deviation for populations (s or sn)
Press The Stat Var Key: Row 2, Column 2. You will see a menu. Press The Right Arrow Key: right side of the big grey circle of buttons. as many times as you need to reach sx. It should be the sixth choice listed.
standard deviation for samples (s or sn-1)
