I'm fiddling around with electricity and (later) electronics since an age of 8. This obsession finally led to studying electronic engineering and now I'm a developper of electronics for high speed data transmission equipment. And as if that wouldn't be enough, electronics is still one of my hobbies.
I love to design circuits with microprocessors and microcontrollers and program them to do something useful. This ideally suits the other hobbies and the "electronification" of my house too!
My first Z80 based ECB systems were started in 1978 and I still have most of them in working condition (in the garage now). Since then I played around with and still use several other processors and controllers: Rockwell 6502, Motorola 68000, 68020, 68030, 68040, 68331/2, Zilog Z80, Z180, Z280, TMPZ84C015, Z8, National Semicoductor COP8, Atmel AVR, the new ColdFire series of Motorola and the MB90F5xx 16bit CAN Controllers from Fujitsu.
Oh, by the way:
If you are using UltraEdit32 for your programming work you might find my WORDFILE.TXT useful since it contains the syntax highlighting definitions for AVR and MC68xxx source files (the latter works with ColdFire too, but up to now I defined only FPU and 331/332 register names and no ColdFire specifics).
AVR source files are expected to have the ending ".AVR" and 68K files (guess what?) ".68K"
