Science and Education

My interest in science has a long history and is responsible for choosing a biology major in undergrad at Adrian College. As an ex-science teacher my desire to educate people about science is still strong. Though doing it through the Internet is a much safer distance than in the classroom.

The Wildflower site is something that I will probably continue to expand and polish for the rest of my life. My ideas for it are always far ahead of the time needed to apply them. I have officially finished the latest revisions; adding plants, information and changing the layout and appearance. I still have two new sections in the works and dozens of plants that have not made it up yet.

The microarray lab is the latest site to be added here and where I have been expending the most effort recently. It has only begun but I plan on including a detailed explanation of our work in the near future.

The next section due up soon is an interactive exhibit of the history, creation and playing of computer games. By the end of summer 2000, look for the "Scum Bottle Project": a look at pond life under our QX-3 computer microscope.

Southeast Michigan WildflowersThis collection of pages compiles many of my wild flora photographs with information about them. It is meant to make people more aware of common plants that we take for granted.
Home Page of U of Michigan's Psychiatry/MHRI Microarray LabI am developing this site for my current job. I plan on adding much more interesting content throughout the year, but I believe this is currently a nice start..
Ammonoids and NautiloidsThese three pages are an adaptation of a report that I wrote for a paleontology course. It includes some pictures from my own collection of shells and fossils.
This is a list of links that I have found interesting or useful in my searches for good science information.
