Alliance for Tolerance and Freedom

Cat Walters I was born 30 something years ago in Allentown, PA where I lived until 1993. When I met my husband I moved to Pittsburgh, PA to be with him. We were together there for a short time until we relocated to Lancaster, PA in August of 1993.

My time is distributed between volunteer positions and my family. I am the Area Advisor for Bisexual OnQ in the OnQ Forum of America Online as well as my board position with The Alliance for Tolerance and Freedom.

I regard the people who make up The Alliance for Tolerance and Freedom as amazing, talented, warm hearted and strong human beings. I am extremely honored to be in their company and proud to be a part of this growing organization.

Most of my free time is spent with my children, one of which is also very active in spreading the word of tolerance in her neighborhood, school and community.

Although my husband has designed this site I will be doing all of the administrative duties and insuring that the site continues to grow. I am learning and trying to deal with my husband's overly complicated codes but he assures me that I will be able to take over with ease. If you find any problems with this site please drop me a line...

My hope for this site is to open the eyes and hearts of those who visit. If only one person is touched and enlightened the feeling will spread, good feelings always do. Although my hopes for the future are many, I am particularly hopeful that diversity becomes a reason to celebrate each day, a tool for teaching each other a new way of thinking, working or living and that it becomes the norm rather than something unknown, something to be feared.

I have high hopes for the future and I have faith in us... all of us.

In complete darkness we are all the same,
it is only our knowledge and
wisdom that separates us...
Don't let your eyes deceive you.

- Janet Jackson, Rhythm Nation Album
