<b>This was</b> said more than 2000 years ago, and little has changed since. Human nature is such that wars will continue to be fought, regardless of how much we hope they won't. The imperative then is to have a foreign and defense policy that will help us avoid war where possible and win if necessary. This is one of the presidents few <A HREF="http://lcweb2.loc.gov/const/const.html">Constitutionally</A> mandated roles.<br>

About me: I lived in Germany for 6 years, 2 in Korea, 3 in Japan, and various locations in the US. I served 5 months in Somalia during the conflict and with the <A HREF="http://www.army.mil/cmh-pg/lineage/1id.htm">Big Red One</A> in the Gulf War. I have a BA in Asian History from the <A HREF="http://www2.hawaii.edu/~uhhilo/">University of Hawaii</A>
