I get about ten emails a week from people seeking help in researching their genealogy. It's a tough subject to address. There's a lot of legwork involved. From what I can tell, it involves hands-on research, going through old town documents, religious institution records and census lists. There are some very detailed sites out there which give guidelines on researching ancestry. I myself am so overwhelmed with school that I simply cannot help those of you who ask. All I can suggest is for you to do an internet search on metacrawler for 'native american genealogy' - or something to that effect. I suppose that the internet has spoiled many of us, to the point where we assume that almost everything is accessible on line. But when it comes to Native American ancestry and genealogy, there is no grand list. There are a bunch of small, old documents, that one must locate and then spend countless hours perusing.
