Here are some parts from a book written by Xaris Tsirkinidis, called "Finaly we have eradicated them" (a stamenet that was made by Kemal Ataturk on the 13th of August 1923). This book is the 3rd edition published in Thessaloniki 1996 by Ekdosis + Gramma.

This book is about the Genocide of the Greeks of Turkey and in particular the 350,000 Greeks of Pontus (the sea shores of the Black Sea of Northen Turkey). This book has been nearly exclusively based on the French Archieves of the time and is as one could say as much unbiassed as possible, although in my opinion this cannot be 100% possible as it is written by a Greek, althoug it is based on foreign material mostly.

I think all of the above abstracts show a VERY small part of what the Greeks of Turkey had to suffer and go through. The above mentioned incidents are around 4 pages from the book that has a total of 330 pages! I am not sure if there is an English version but if anyone would like to find out more information they can write to:

I would like to stress at this point that unfortunatelly the Turkish claims that all of the above happened during a war are completely unfounded as the same things happened in 1955 to the Greeks of Costantinople and in 1974 with the Invasion of Cyprus! The same fate the Kurds suffer these days also ...who is next?
