Dissatisfied with the current political situation in Sarawak? Think we could do better? Everyone can be an armchair politician but are you actually doing the minimum that makes your voice heard? Unlike a lot of countries around the world, we are fortunate enough to live in a democracy so take advantage of it. Look at our suggestions below for becoming active in your community and ensuring your stake in your future.

Register to Vote

All politics is about is exercising your democratic right to choose the values that will shape this nation. Registering to vote gives you the right to choose.

Look Beyond Surface Value

Learn. Communicate. Listen. Know the issues. What we have today, is our right and is not a handout. We have made progress but are we making enough progress? All factors taken into consideration, do we not deserve better? What do we deserve? What do you think Sarawak deserves?

Join STAR

Joining a political party is about contributing your  energy, beliefs and purpose to a body committed to fulfilling a common goal. At STAR, we believe that we can lead Sarawak into the next millenium as a developed state with all races working in harmony and with full respect and trust in the institutions and leaders that protect and govern us. Be part of our team and make that vision a reality.

Speak Up, Be Heard

Look for forums where your voice can be heard peacefully. Do you have an association? Join it. Participate in it. Always let your community, representatives and political leaders know what you want. If you don't, then they will assume on your behalf. Blind faith is endearing but seldom rewarding. If there is an agenda at work, let it be one that all Sarawakians mutually participate in and equally benefit from.
