Bessemer Stake Activities 

 

December 10th: Single Adult Stake Committee meeting at 6:00 PM at the Bessemer Stake Center. This meeting will last an hour and a half.

 

December 15th: SA Christmas Service Project:  We will gather at BESSEMER STAKE CENTER at 6:30 PM to put together as many baskets as we can with the food that is donated from the members of the stake. Please encourage your ward to have donations in by Sunday December 10th. We can accept Wal-Mart gift cards but no cash. We are trying to feed at least ten needy families. We will have hot chocolate and refreshments while putting these baskets together.

 California 
First Ever SoCal LDS Midsingles Conference in Huntington Beach for all LDS midsingles ages (ages 27-40) sponsored by the HB 1st Ward Midsingles. The age range will be firm to cater to 30-something singles who recently graduated from the YSA Wards or "older" YSAs who are getting ready to graduate.

**Photo ID will be checked at this conference.**

Invite others you know who fit the age range and tries to adhere to church standards. Those born before 1966 and after 1981 will not allowed into this conference, and will be directed to older Single Adult or younger YSA activities to attend that weekend.

This conference will definitely sell out at a 1,200 maximum capacity from midsingles all over the U.S.

Reservations and pricing will become available in December.

Afternoon activities (choose one sport activity, cultural activity, or entire workshop series)

Sports Activities include Beach Volleyball Tournament at HB Pier, Surf Session and Lesson at Bolsa Chica, Sea kayaking at Newport Beach Harbor, Nature Beach Hike at Crystal Cove, Mountain Biking at El Moro overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Frisbee Golf in Central Park, Rollerblading (from HB Pier to Seapoint), or  riding beach cruisers (HB Pier to Newport Pier) along PCH.

Cultural Activities include touring the real Laguna Beach with its art galleries, shops, and beaches; exploring the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, the largest aquarium on the West Coast; or experiencing the Boyer's Museum Egyptian Exhibit, the OC's largest art museum.

Workshop Series (choose 3 to attend; workshops repeat on the hour)

Workshop A -- "This is not what I ordered...When the unexpected happens"
Workshop B -- "How to boldly each out to others in the 21st Century"
Workshop C -- "Personally overcoming your own obstacles to marriage"
Workshop D -- "Choosing to personally partake of the Atonement's healing powers"

Dinner on your own or "Random Group Dinner" where groups of 10 people will eat together at a restaurant to get to know each other chosen by the Conference Committee.

After dinner, speed dating and other mixer activities.

It Jan 20th-27th in the Caribbean and we already have over 100 signed up.
