BRITISH HELICOPTER CRASHES IN KOSOVO.
British military helicopter with 7 persons aboard, crashed in
a mountainous area of Kosovo, not far from its border with
Macedonia. At least two persons died. A few injured men were
delivered to an American military hospital, situated not far
from the place of the accident.

PAVEL BORODIN MAY BE RELEASED ON BAIL.
On Tuesday, the Geneva Prosecutor's Office will consider the
possibility of releasing Pavel Borodin on bail. Borodin, the
state secretary of the Union of Russia and Belarus, was
arrested in the United States on money-laundering charges and
extradited to Switzerland.

RUSSIA MAY INITIATE SANCTIONS AGAINST PAKISTAN.
Russia and France have prepared materials in which Pakistan is
accused of a direct backing of the Taliban Islamic Movement in
its standoff against the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan.
Russia is reportedly planning to persuade other US Security
Council members to impose sanctions on Pakistan.

CREW MEMBERS OF SPY PLANE STILL IN CHINA.
All the 24 members of the detained crew of the American spy
plane EP-3, which collided on April 1st with a Chinese
fighter, are still being held in custody in China. The Chinese
authorities, however, have allowed US diplomats to meet again
with the crew members. In the meantime, the way out of the
crisis has not yet been found, and the two sides continue to
squabble.

BORODIN FLOWN TO CHAMP DOLLON PRISON IN GENEVA.
Pavel Borodin, secretary of state of the Russian-Belorussian
Union was deported from the USA and flown earlier today to
Geneva where he was placed in the Champ Dollon jail. Later
today, Mr. Borodin is to be interrogated by Swiss
investigators headed by Daniel Deveau. According to Mr.
Borodin’s defence lawyers, he is most likely to face money
laundering charges.

RECENT TERRORIST ATTACKS IN NORTH CAUCASUS MASTERMINDED BY
HATTAB.
Islamic extremists and Chechen warlord Hattab are to blame
with terrorist attacks which occurred recently in the cities
of Mineralnye Body, Yessenturi and the republic of
Karachayevo-Cirkassia in the North Caucasus, Russia’s Deputy
Procurator General Yuri Biryukov told journalists today.
