uk.politics.animals AR webpage
Welcome, welcome, welcome to the unofficial webpage of
uk.politics.animals!
The newsgroup where the arguments never end.
Or rather we keep hearing the same claims over and over again. Anyhow, this is a website set up to act as resource for those who wish to join in the regular and exciting debates that we have.
Here we hope to provide lots of background files and data to fill in the gaps. There is also a FAQ, photos and useful links including to the pages of regular contributors when they exist.
this is site is from an animal rights perspective. No apologies are made if it offends you. If you have a problem then post it to the newsgroup or email Donal O'Driscoll, the current maintainer of the FAQ (see below).
This page will be moving on at some stage as I move onto other things and Paul Kennedy takes on the task of maintaining the FAQ. However, newly added to the resources here are my own article on Hitler and Vegetarianism as well as an article from the Medical Research Modernization Committee on the History of vivisection. Thanks to Spooky for contributing the latter.
Barry Horne, animal liberationist, is on hungerstrike to get the UK government to live up to its pre-election promise and call a Royal Commission on vivisection. He is about to die. Go here for more information and updates.
