Obituary for Mabelle G. Amos

Passed away Friday morning. Mrs.Amos was born May 24, 1885, in Rochester, Minn., the daughter of William and Kitty Eva Mae Dodge. She was a member of the Three Quarter Century Club, Marine Mothers, Townsend Club,and Rebekah Lodge. Mrs. Amos was the wife of Erwin J. Amos, who passed away January 22, 1947. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Alice Granger of Vicksburg, Mrs. Margorie Hodgins of Chicago, Mrs. Jeanette Thomas of Plymouth, Mich., Robert Amos of Kalamazoo, Mrs. Iris Snizek of Chicago, Mrs. Beverly Nelson of Clarksville, Tenn., Mrs. Geraldine Stauffenberg, Mrs. Donna Snow both of Kalamazoo, Charles and Theodore Amos, both in the U.S. Marine Corps, and James Amos of Paw Paw; her mother, Mrs. Ross E. Phillips of Rochester, Minn., four sisters, Mrs. Hazel Jorden of Chicago, Mrs. Gertrude Jorden, Mrs. Lola Brown, both of Kalamazoo and Mrs. Madeliene Frisbie, Arkansas City, Kas.; six brothers, Hubert and Norman Rowley, both of Pomona, Calif., Earl Rowley of Stewartville, Minn., Harry Rowley of Chicago, and Bernard Rowley of Bridgeville, Penn., 24 Grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Nellie Barnes, passed away February 26, 1948. Friends may call at the Turesdale chapel, where services will be held Sunday Afternoon at 3 o'clock. Internment in Schoolcraft cemetery.
