Brantford New Artist Showcase making Sunday Night Exciting
Poor Folks Deli on Market Street is best known for its blues music, but the bar is heading in a new direction on Sunday nights. The Brantford New Artist Showcase features a new local band every weekend and give young artists the chance to practice their stuff and earn a few fans... April 21 saw the Virus 3 hastily cover for Turpus Cauza, who cancelled at the last second. The 3 came through and played a great, energetic show. They played only originals, quite a feat for a band that hasn't been performing all that long. They were excellent and hopefully will have their own scheduled night...

Entertainment Brantford? Is Doing Something Right
Entertainment Brantford? gives a thank-you to "Virus 3, and all the other bands who talked with me for the Music Summer article on page 3."
The Brantford Music Summer Will Be Hotter Than Ever
Virus 3 is quickly rising as one of the area's better bands. While originally from Delhi, the threesome has played some great shows locally and is getting on to important bills elsewhere as well. They'll play on June 20 at Gord's Place in St. Catherines, and will also play "Staplefest" in Stratfordville on June 29. Also see the Virus 3 in town at Poor Folks on July 7, and pick up their new tape; for the ad, see page eleven.

Virus 3 Solid and Going Places
The Virus 3 from Delhi have put out a great tape. The eponymous debut features seven songs and proves that the band is serious about what they are doing. Their straight forward rock sound is solid throughout and the cassette gives a good idea of what the Virus 3 are about. The band has taken this debut to other places as well; "EB?" recently saw the tape at Sam the Record Man on Younge Street in Toronto, thus proving that the band wants to go places. The 3 are especially good in concert; you can expect a loud and energetic show when you see them on stage. The band has played all over the place, including Staplefest in Stratfordville. Coming shows include Soundzone on August 24th and Chances on the 29th, so look forward to seeing them. The tape is available at Sunrise Records at the Lynden Park Mall, so go and pick this one up. You'll like it.
