Humpin' 007 and 007a
Originally it was to be titled Hangin' Out For Christmas and was to be released in December 1994 in time for our first show December 22nd 1994, but we never made the deadline. The tape wasn't finished until after our second show January 7th 1995. It wasn't until after the second week of February 1995 that the tape cover was finished. The photo of the Wendy's Classic Bacon Cheeseburger was taken February 6th 1995 at the Asian Spice Shop. In those days Rob sent out his black and whites to be developed, and that took a week to get back. The photos on the inside of the cover were mainly from the January 7th 1995 show. So getting this album to it's final stage was a long drawn out process. For about a month after the tape was mixed down from the 4-track the only copies available to anyone was a scrawled out written tape cover in Mark's handwriting.
At the time the only place we knew where we could get 30 minute tapes in Brantford was at Radio Shack. So the 20 or so albums that we made we mixed down onto really low quality tape with a large amount of hiss in the background. The second version would be mixed down onto Goldstar tapes which was much better. However they were not copied from the master 4-track, they were copied from a mixed down master tape which was on a Radio Shack tape. So the quality just wasn't there. When you listen to the master 4-track of Cosmic Festi it sounds like an entirely different album.
Why the Humpin' 007a? What happened to the original Humpin' 007? There were two songs on the first version that we were not happy with. One was our Beetles cover of Norwegian Wood which featured Mark, Jeff and Kevin Jasper of Loser Parade singing. The other song was Halfmoon Lullaby which was all done by Jeff. He wasn't happy with it at all and was really impressed to have the song taken off the original version of the album. These two songs were subsequently replaced by anything that could possibly fit in the sections that had the original songs. So we put the live version of Trilogy I, II, III and IV from January 7th 1995 over top of Norwegian Wood. For Halfmoon Lullaby we took some odd jam from November 6th 1994 at the Spice Shop and named the song Shit. Humpin' 007a was probably released sometime in the beginning of March 1995.

Around the end of 2003 a new version of Cosmic Festi was made. Finally it was put to CD from the original 4-track master. All the Radio Shack tape hiss was gone. Not that you could tell especially with songs like So Plain. Again a better authored version was made in March 2005 with some digital enhancements that were made to the original audio. The artwork was redone to fit CD format. This was the way that it was intended to be released but couldn't be in early 1995.
