Tool Consecration

  1. Place tool in center of circle, concentrate on its purpose, visualize sending your energy into the tool during consecration.
  2. Pass tool through or over each element 3 times in the following order:
    1. incense smoke (Air)
    2. candle smoke/flame--be careful not to burn! (Fire)
    3. water dish
    4. salt dish (Earth)
      (You may also sprinkle the salt and water on the tool if appropriate or place tool in dish.)
  3. After passing through each element, turn to the appropriate corner and say:
    incense smoke (East)
    "By the power of the Goddess and by the ancient and mystickal element of Air,
    I consecrate and dedicate this (object's name) as a magickal tool.
    Aid me in cleansing this (object's name) of all unwanted and negative energies."
    candle smoke/flame (South)
    "By the power of Love and by the ancient and mystickal element of Fire,
    I consecrate and dedicate this (object's name) as a magickal tool.
    Aid me in cleansing this (object's name) of all unwanted and negative energies."
    water dish (West)
    "By the power of the Universe and by the ancient and mystickal element of Water,
    I consecrate and dedicate this (object's name) as a magickal tool.
    Aid me in cleansing this (object's name) of all unwanted and negative energies."
    salt dish (North)
    "By the power of the Horned God and by the ancient and mystickal element of Earth,
    I consecrate and dedicate this (object's name) as a magickal tool.
    Aid me in cleansing this (object's name) of all unwanted and negative energies."
  4. Place the tool in the center of the circle again.
  5. Gently blow on the tool 3 times, then say:
    "I consecrate you, (knife of metal, wand of wood, stone of magick, etc.) to cleanse and purify you to serve me within my magickal sphere. In the names of the Mother Goddess and the Father God, you are consecrated."
Your tool is now consecrated and ready for use.
