Sakura...Shaoran... *faint* MY FAVE S+S PIC EVER!

Everything Happens for a Reason...
Why Syaoran and Sakura?

  • Balance - Sorta like Yin and Yang, Sakura and Syaoran balance each other out. Li-kun is serious and intense, while Sakura is cheerful and happy-go-lucky.

  • "Opposites Attract" - Ah, yes, the age-old rule! They are complete opposites! Syaoran is reserved and Sakura is outgoing. (OK, I know it's sorta similar to the previous reason, but...what the heck)

  • Behaviour - OK...Syaoran does an imitation of a boiled lobster (blushes profusely, I mean) and stammers when Sakura is around...But later, Syaoran is much more relaxed and shows more of his feelings. Eitherway, it shows that he loves her! WAI! As for Sakura's part, she's more confident when Syaoran is around, and later on (in the last episode and in movie2) she's the one doing the blushing^_^

  • Strength - The strength they have when they're together. They catch more Clow Cards, they changed the Clow Cards into the Sakura Cards and survived whatever Eriol threw at them! But only when they're together.

  • Dream Team - (corollary to previous reason) They're partners in everything: catching cards, changing cards, even classroom duty! Why not love too?

  • Knight in Shining Armor- Anou...make that "sorcerer in green battle suit" ^_^ It's so cool when Syaoran comes to Sakura's rescue or shelters her from harm...or when he catches her when she collapses!

  • Soulmates - Let's face it: they're soulmates. They're DESTINED. Sakura-chan dreamt of him, and Li-kun said he'll be the Card Master, ne? Well, won't he be when he marries Sakura?^_^

  • Transformation - The effect they have on each other is nothing but positive. If it weren't for Syaoran, Sakura wouldn't have grown stronger (emotionally). And, Syaoran himself said that Sakura had changed him... He HAD become a WAY better person since he met Sakura! (check out ep 70)

  • Kawaii-ness - They look so kawaii together! Gomen! Couldn't help it! But, really! They are! Even Touya-niichan saw it, didn't he? They're perfect!^_^

    Time to defend our little couple

    Some people say that S+S is a one-sided love story...(excluding the movie)

    I ABSOLUTELY DISAGREE! But, well, let's give it some thought.

    point 1: Syaoran-kun was the only one doing all the crushing
    Defense: True, Syaoran WAS the FIRST to be obviously romantically attracted. Notice the past tense...

    point 2: Syaoran-kun was the only one doing all the blushing
    Defense: No, he doesn't. He may be the most frequent, but Sakura blushes because of Li-kun as well. Episode 59, 67, to name two. In episode 70, she spends the WHOLE day blushing and thinking about him^_^ I can't remember the exact episodes aside from those right now, but I'm sure there are many others.

    point 3: Sakura thinks of him only as a friend
    Defense: Uh-huh...If that was so, dare explain to me what Sakura meant by "I don't want to lose you!!!" (ep 17)...and the HUG in episode 26...Sakura hasn't hugged another boy (her age, I mean) until then. And, come on...the SCARF! (episode 67) Besides, if he's just a friend, then why the heck would Sakura so willingly almost kiss him? (ep 41 and 42) Gah...if it weren't for Sand and Mist and Syaoran's uncertainty, I bet she would've, too. Yukito himself said that her attraction to him (Yukito) will just blind Sakura from realizing the one she trully loves, since her liking for Yukito started long ago.

    It is NOT one-sided, and that is the honest to goodness truth! Saku-chan LOVES him! She loved him so much it CREATED THE LOVE CARD, for Pete's sake! Do you know how HARD it is to MAKE a Sakura Card?!
    Tomoyo: Anou...calm yourself down, Sarah-san...
    Sarah: *pant pant* Gomen... *AHEM!*

    Another addition: Syaoran has many "little helpers". That's Tomoyo, Eriol, Yukito and Yue...plus the Dream Card. Heck, if Sakura got that premonition and if Tomoyo (or anybody else) had told her about Syaoran, I'm sure she would've realized her feelings. But I have to admit, if she DID do that...then the story won't be as kawaii^_^
