Celtic Women International presents Celtic Routes concert: A Showcase on the Danforth
International and Canadian Celtic musicians, folklorists, singers, and artists!
More than a dozen top Celtic female performers hailing from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France and Canada will take the stage at the Music Hall on the Danforth on October 4th at 8pm, as part of the 6th Annual Celtic Women International Conference "Celtic Routes."
The concert will compliment the Celtic Routes Conference, set to take place at Harbourfront Centre October 3 - 5. The annual conference is being held in Canada for the first time and will feature workshops, panels, lectures, demonstrations and an art exhibition.
"We're thrilled to be the host city for 2003," said Catherine Crowe, Toronto conference chair. "The caliber of talent is overwhelming, with some of Canada's most notable Celtic female artists sharing the stage with International icons."

Presenters and participants will delve into dance, music, theatre, storytelling, visual art, spirituality, literature and anthropology.
Toronto musician and visual artist Catherine Crowe (bio and pic), a member of the Celtic Women International Board, is chairing the Toronto conference committee along with a hard working group of approximately 30 (and growing) volunteers that now includes members of Irish, Scottish and Breton heritage, as well as members from different regions of Canada. The annual conference is being held for the first time in Toronto. Its an exciting opportunity to share across mediums and across the country the true roots of this vibrant culture, says Crowe.
