We are the Matte family, my name is Christine and my husband is called Jean- Pierre.

We have two daughters Amélie, who after obtaining her diplomas, works in another county  and Céline , who is coutinuing her studies.

We have a little dog called Noisette and Minou the cat. Since September 2002 we have a new little dog, her name is Chipie.

Our old station house was originally owned by Jean- Pierre's grandparents who purchased the buildings on the property in 1965.

My husband's grandfather was the gamekeeper of Bernafay and Trônes woods

Our family uses the station master's house and the guest house is the former station

In 1997 we sold our motorcycle shop near Belgium and moved here where Jean Pierre worked for four years as a guide in the World War 1 museum in Albert

In July 2000 we opened the Bernafay Wood Bed & Breakfast where our top priorities are hospitality, friendliness and the comfort of our guests

Our guest house has also secure parking for cycles and motorcycles
