Once you have been accepted into the school, you will receive a letter of acceptance and a packet of information to help you get started. Your "Church School Enrollment Form" will then be submitted by us to your local school district.
You will be expected to send in two yearly reports per student. One will be the proposed course of study for the current school year. (Our year runs from June 11 to June 10 of the following year.) The second report will be an end of the year report showing the completed courses signed by the parent/teacher. This will also show grades received, high school credits, and the year's attendance. We hold no liability to validity of these reports. The parent/teacher must take full responsibility for the accuracy of these reports. We seek to enable parents to educate their children in the manner they feel God has ordained them to do. For this reason, we try to serve, rather than lead, the parents.
We will request the student's records from previous schools, and in case of high school students, verify the credits they have received, and notify you of further credits needed.
When all the necessary high school credits have been received and verified, we will issue a high school diploma.
If a student should transfer out of our school, at the parent's request, we will provide the new school with their school records.
For their protection, we ask parents/teachers to keep daily plan records of the student's' work. These, along with samples of the student's work should be kept for at least 3 years as recommended by Home School Legal Defense Association. Daily attendance records totaling a minimum of 175 days per year should also be kept and available for review if necessary.
We have information on the "Home School Legal Defense Association" available upon request.
We will supply you with a teacher's ID card. This may be helpful to you at bookstores that give teacher discounts.
