Our Girls

Silken

Can CH Chakra’s Silken Dream CD, Fdjr, AGI, NA, NAJ, OFA Good

Silken is sired by Can/Am Ch Bajos Kis Sarga Barat Tate CD and her dam is Can CH Comynara’s Red Witch CD.  She is my first homebred Champion, first Fdjr and first agility dog. My bed-buddy and soulmate, also alpha bitch in the house.  Silken keeps the rest of the gang toeing the line and greets everyone with something in her mouth-she is not particular what it is!

Reba

Can CH Bajos Promise to Chakra CD, Fdjr-OFA Excellent.

Sire Am CH Emerald-Legacy’s Prime Time SH, dam Can/Am CH Bajos Kedves Lanyka Vala CD

Reba, my red-haired, singing girl comes from my good friends, Barbara and John Snyder of Schenectady, New York. Her dam Vali is a littermate to Silken’s sire, Tate.

Reba is a breeder’s dream come true. As well as being an awesome bird-dog (birds and food are tied as her favourite things) she has produced four litters of great puppies. Bred to Button Buck’s Chief FDX, NAVHDA Utility Prize one, Reba produced two NAVHDA Natural Ability Perfect Scores, one Canadian Champion, one Fdjr and one FD. Her grandpuppies from this breeding have earned Championships, FD’s and FDX’s as well as NAVHDA prizes.

Her next breeding was to Am Ch Legacy’s Turn Back Time.  Two Can Ch, two FD and some agility titles from this litter.

Bred twice to Can/Am Ch Voros Vadazs Remy Barat, there are to date one CH, two Fdjr and future agility dogs.

Reba is retired from the whelping box and spends quality time on the sofa with breaks for Rally-O training.

Poppy

Can Ch Chakra’s Simply Red FD, AGN, OFA Good

Sire is Am Ch Legacy’s Turn Back Time, dam is Reba

Poppy is my second homebred Champion shown from the Bred-By-Exhibitor class. She is without a doubt my sweetest dog and the easiest to train. Thanks to our friend Liz Outram, Poppy earned her FD title in three tries with great scores after only two weeks of training.

Our agility career has been interesting but at last we are on track and earned a first at the 2003 Vizsla Club of America Nationals in the Novice Jumpers with Weaves class.  Poppy continued her great running at the Royal Winter Fair in November 2003 to finish her Canadian Agility Novice title and earn her first qualifying score in Agility Intermediate.

Poppy had her first litter in 2003 bred to Can/Am Ch Arsla and Auburn’s Sunny Boy JH.  Future plans are another litter in 2005, more agility and perhaps a try at FDX.

Juno

Chakra’s Guess Who was born on March 25, 2003 with sire Sunny Boy and dam, Poppy.

My keeper, Juno, is a delight to live with and keeps all of us on our toes.  At 6 1//2 months, she earned her first two qualifying scores in FDjr after only 4 days of bird exposure (again thanks to Liz Outram). The following weekend she won her first conformation point.  At the 2003 Vizsla Club of America Nationals Specialty show, she made the cut in both of the competitive 6-9 month bitch classes.

Juno’s future includes more field work, showing and agility. She is a great combination of her mother’s sweetness, her sire’s work ethic and her grand-dam’s joy in life.
