anonymous - 06/17/99 23:55:58 Have you ever been to Camp Fitch?: it was my career.(15 yrs) What's your favorite camp song?: not important Where's your favorite place at camp?: not important Favorite camp story?: not important Favorite camp prank?: not important Who was your favorite counselor/director?: not important. | Comments: i spent 15 years at camp fitch and held many positions, all of which i did better than most people ever could...i certainly was not perfect and had my share of problems!...the man in charge of camp fitch gave me the 2nd chance of a lifetime....he also rui ed a career i loved in one breath. i don't think those who were involved with my departure truly understand what this did to me...when i was relieved of my duties, i was left with nothing and life became very very hard because camp was all i knew...my lif was in turmoil(no need to go into details)..the higher powers at camp fitch will say 'well its his own fault"..but the rest of the society of camp fitch knows better...in truth there really was no valid reason for my removal,they were grasping at straws and did not have enough guts to tell me why my job was really terminated..its sad, because all the great times i had and all the great memories i had are gone..camp fitch was a place i loved and also my home, now all i'm left with is a fierce bitterness owards thehigher powers and the place itself!....there are a lot of unfair politics that go on there, and a lot of things that are against the very meaning of what the Y.M.C.A. stands for...i never wanted to write this but i felt i needed to be heard. |
