Miss Teen Chinatown Charity Gala, Buy Raffle Tickets

The San Francisco Chinatown Lions Club is proud to present their 37th Annual Miss Teen Chinatown Charity Gala. This year's event will be held on April 19, 2003 in the Westin St. Francis Hotel, at San Francisco's Union Square. People familiar with the event know that each year they present an excellent show, and this year's will be no exception. The San Francisco Chinatown Lions Club would like to extend their invitation to you to participate in the Miss Teen Chinatown 2003 event.

$2000 scholarship to Miss Teen Chinatown 2003 $1000 donation to Miss Teen Chinatown 2003's school, in her honor One round trip ticket to Hong Kong Crown trophy, sash, and bouquet Official Goodwill Ambassador of the San Francisco Chinatown Lions Club	1st Princess - $1000 scholarship 2nd Princess - $600 scholarship 3rd Princess - $500 scholarship Miss Charity - $1000 scholarship Miss Talent - $500 scholarship Miss Congeniality - $400 scholarship Each of the above Titles will receive crown, trophy, sash, and bouquet All participant - $100 scholarship

Miss Teen Chinatown Applicant Qualifications:

• Ages between 14 to 18 on date of event
  (eligible birth dates from April 20, 1984 to April 19, 1989)
• Be of Chinese descent and able to write own name in Chinese characters
• Good academic standing in school
  (minimum final GPA for prior school year 3.00)
• Timely return of application form, with ALL attachments
• Willing to participate in training sessions and other required meetings or events.

Deadline: January 24, 2003.

All participants will be judged on academic excellence, enthusiasm, talent, extracurricular activities, community service, charm, character and leadership. You are highly encouraged to participate in this event, which can provide you with excellent opportunities to meet new friend and community leaders, and will be a most memorable learning experience. In addition, you will be participating for good cause, in helping to raise funds for the greater benefit of our community. All of the net proceeds from this event will be donated to various charitable organizations, who in turn provide much needed services to the community.
