My Two Cents
So we all voted...some of us were disappointed and others were elated. The important thing is you all voted and even if the candidate you were choosing was not elected you made a difference and that is what's important. Now moving on to the important issues, our economy is still strong, There are other countries that have it alot worst off than us but if we continue making stupid decisions like this snowballing bailout plan which every time I hear about it keeps getting bigger and bigger and including more companies to it they are no talking about including the auto industry in the bailout and making it more than the 700 billion rescue plan that was originally planned. When will this end? I have better solution, how about giving that 700 billion back to the people so they can keep their homes and cars and feed their children. It would be nice to go into your local supermarket and not cringe at the thought that you may have to put a few things back because you don't have enough money to pay for them or although gasoline prices have been going down steadily be able to afford to buy some heating oil to be able to keep your family warm during those brutal winter nights.
We the people... remember; WE are the ones that need this bailout, yes I do understand that we need to keep these companies afloat to able to boost our economy but the people come first. Our taxes are still going up, we pay taxes to get our paychecks then we pay again if we want to buy something with our money, we pay taxes to use utilities, we pay taxes for simple commodities, we pay, we pay, and we pay as my good friend Bob Durgen says on the radio " Just shut up and pay your taxes". So what happened when gasoline prices skyrocketed to over four dollars a gallon and people were loosing their homes, cars and savings? NOTHING.
So Where does this all leave us? The same place we have always been the end of the line. We can't depend on our goverment to save us every time there is a catastrophe, or when mother nature whips our butt like Katrina. We have to prepare ourselves for these events help the people around you not go out and loot and rob and shoot at each other. Go out there fill all these available jobs even the jobs nobody wants go to college, get off the streets go back to school if you have to get your GED do it. If you sit down and wait for our government to help you every month or save you in a natural disaster like Katrina you will end up dead. Our government are incapable respond in a reasonable amount of time if you are in danger this has been proven. Protect yourselves by preparing and planning your future and that of your children because they are the ones who will become the next Obama.
Well that's enough of my ranting, till next time. Luv ya!.

Thanks for coming
Thank you for visiting my little space in the cyber world, You may be wondering What this site is all about and why does it even exist, well at the time I started to make this site, i was just bored and wanted to write stuff down about my heritage and see if others could relate or even learn from my experiences and get an understanding of what it is like to be a NUYORICAN, As the site grew and i began to get e-mails from people from all over the world i realized that what i had created was not just jibberish on some site but an opportunity to share and relate with my fellow NUYORICAN's and also to be able to share with those who do not know what a beautiful culture we Puerto Rican's have, to educate those minds that have been clouded with rumors of how bad or lazy Boricua's are.

On that note, i have completely updated this site for everyone, not just my fellow Boricua brothers and sisters, or American brothers and sisters but for any and everyone interested in our unique and beautiful culture. Here you can read about my Family and I. See my hometown and get the feeling of what it was like to grow up with a Puerto Rican family with an American twist all ground up into one, to create a Nuyorican, read about the very begginings of how my family arrived here in the U.S. and see our Family album, Read about my experiences in Puerto Rico and how different Nuyorican's are compared to our mainland Brothers and Sisters.

If thats not enough then laugh your ass off reading my Joke page and Cartoon page.

I hope you enjoy yourself, and come back soon I try to update regularly.
Link my site to yours, and i will link your site to mine, for more info click here Dont forget to sign my guestbook and let me know what you think. Let us always remember and pray for all those fallen on 09-11-01 and their families
